See a great play about working at The Onion!

Here's a non-baseball item for you. My friend Rachel Arbeit has written a funny play called The Shallot, which is a fictional comedic stageplay about her experience working for a certain comedy site. Here is what Funny or Die says about the show:

"An aspiring writer who works as the Office Manager at The Shallot, a satirical news organization, hoping to become a writer. While fielding phone calls and dealing with the revolving door of actors and actresses coming into the office for auditions, the Office Manager and intern observe a changing company whose structure, like its product, is funny. Based on a true story about working at The Onion."

Anyhow, Squawker Jon and I will be going to the show on Friday. The Shallot is part of the Midtown International Theater Festival, and you can see it later on this month at the Main Stage Theater at 312 West 36th Street, 4th Floor on the following dates:
* Monday July 15th at 8:00PM
* Friday July 19th at 10:00PM
* Saturday July 20th at 3:00PM
* Saturday July 20th at 9:15PM
*Wednesday July 24th at 6:00PM

You can get tickets here, and see a teaser trailer here.
